Correct in public

Corrections

Every correction we have published, with its date and the story it belongs to. Principle 7 says significant errors get a labelled correction rather than a quiet edit. This is that, kept in one place.

No corrections published yet

When we get something significant wrong, the correction appears here with its date and stays. An empty page today is not a claim that we will never need one.

How corrections work here

A significant error gets a dated correction shown at the top of the story itself, and an entry on this page. We do not delete a story to make a mistake go away, and we do not edit the text and say nothing.

Small fixes that change nothing material, a typo or a broken link, are corrected without a notice. Anything that changes what a reader would understand gets one.

To report an error, write to versacorp@versaedits.com naming the story and what you say the correct position is. We aim to respond within seven working days.

Write to versacorp@versaedits.com. The standard this comes from is at Our standards. Archive entries have their own policy at The Record.
