Lusaka, Zambia – As Arsenal chase silverware on multiple fronts this season, the excitement is spreading across Africa. Popular Zambian R&B and Afro-Pop star Salma Sky and her husband, music producer and DJ Tevo Shikapwasha, have been officially appointed as brand ambassadors for the 7th Arsenal Africa Fan Festival, happening 3–5 April 2026 in Lusaka.
The joyful announcement came on their wedding anniversary in a video posted on Salma’s Facebook page (@theesalmasky). The couple received personalised Gunners merchandise from the Arsenal Zambia Supporters Association (AZSA).
“What’s good Gunners? It’s your favourite gunner couple, Salma and Tevo,” Salma beamed. “This afternoon on our anniversary, we received this gift… We are excited to announce that we are your new brand ambassadors for the Arsenal Africa Fan Festival seventh edition that’s happening this April in Lusaka. So excited to wear this merch. Can’t wait. And it’s personalised… We’re so excited for all the events that are upcoming. Can’t wait to see you guys there. Thank you, thank you, thank you again!”

Who is Salma Sky?
Born Salma Dodia on 22 November 1985 in Lusaka to a Zambian economist father and Lebanese mother, Salma started as a model before becoming one of Zambia’s biggest music stars. Her hits include “Kapiripiri” (with JK), “Wonderful World,” “Folo Folo,” “10 Years” and “Overtime.” A multi-award-winning artist, she is also a qualified mental health practitioner, advocate, speaker and wellness coach.
Married to Tevo Shikapwasha since around 2013, the couple have long been vocal Arsenal supporters. Salma regularly posts match reactions (“Kaiiiiii! Arsenal #Gunners”), runs giveaways, hosts live sessions and shares kit photos — earning them the title of “your favourite gunner couple” among fans.
Arsenal Flying High in 2025/26 Season
The ambassadorship comes at the perfect moment. Mikel Arteta’s side currently top the Premier League table with 67 points from 30 matches (20 wins, 7 draws, 3 losses, +37 goal difference) — seven points clear of Manchester City and firmly in the title race.
In the UEFA Champions League, Arsenal dominated the league phase (8 wins from 8) to go straight into the Round of 16. They drew 1-1 away to Bayer Leverkusen in the first leg (thanks to a late Kai Havertz penalty), with the decisive home leg on 17 March.
They have also reached the Emirates FA Cup quarter-finals, where they will face Southampton the weekend of 4–5 April — keeping alive the dream of a multi-trophy campaign.

Salma and Tevo will help lead the fun, and the couple can’t wait: “We’re so excited for all the events that are upcoming!”
